Basics
What is Outwego?
Outwego is a web app with quests in the real world. You pick a quest, experience it in person, confirm completion and earn XP. Quests inspire you to discover activities and places around you.
Do I have to download the app from a store?
No. Outwego works in your browser as a web app. If you want, you can add it to your phone's home screen – you'll find the steps in the How it works section.
What languages is Outwego available in?
In Czech, Slovak and English. You can change the language in the app settings.
Quests and XP
How do I earn XP?
By completing a quest. Every quest shows its XP value. XP is awarded by the server, so it can't be edited in the browser or earned twice for the same one-time quest.
Can I complete a quest more than once?
It depends on the quest. One-time quests you complete once. Repeatable quests you can complete again after the period shown on the quest – for example once a day, week or month.
Can I create my own quest?
Yes. A new quest goes through a review and only then is shown to other players.
Privacy and safety
Who can see my activity?
By default, only friends see your activity and completed quests. Your profile is public by default. You can change everything in the privacy settings.
How do I report inappropriate content or a user?
On a user, quest, activity or photo, choose Report. The Outwego team will review the report. You can also block or mute a user.
What should I watch out for when completing quests?
Always look after your own safety and the safety of others, follow the law and local rules, and respect private property. If a quest seems dangerous to you, don't do it and report it.
